Goodbye Room 18

It is official now: no more Kappa Delta. Sad but true, and a much harder realization to come to than I thought it would be! Laura and I have lived in Room 18 since we were sophomores and I don't think we will ever forget it. We have willed away the infamous bunk beds to the future occupants, but the couch has made the decor cut for Club 1616. I would have to say that beginning the process of splitting up all the stuff we have collected over the past three years has been the hardest part. Up until now it hasn't mattered what gets packed where because we have known that three months later it will all end up right back in Room 18, but not this time. During the process of packing up the room we came across some unlit candles - one of the stipulations of living in the Kappa Delta house (aside from wearing shower shoes) is that you cannot have candles because lighting them is against fire code. We couldn't bring ourselves to throw away the unused candles so we decided to light them while we worked. Needless to say, we got distracted - maybe this is why we haven't gotten anything done. PS: Notice the graduation robes.
