Kings Game With Jess and Jocelyn

Jess came to LA the week I was home for Anna and Ben's wedding, why does it always work out like that? It turned out that the night I flew back was Jess' last night in town so we met up in downtown for an LA Kings game. Apparently the Kings are our hockey team... I'll be honest, I do not know what the score was (probably because I am not quite sure how to play hockey) but I had a great time meeting up with them AND I rode the metro downtown (be impressed Katie, this required changing trains and everything) which will hopefully be useful for future events at the Staples Center (like concerts and Battlestar Galactica conventions, I think I've had my fill of hockey games).

Note to self: next time, use a bigger salad bowl.

Anna Samaha Streufert (A.S.S.)

I flew back to Florida at the beginning of the month for Ben and Anna's Wedding! (tell me you don't just want to get it over with and call them 'Banana') It was four days of drinking and dancing in Crystal River Florida and it was AWESOME.

Julie and Jeff Sugaring 09

It almost felt like Spring this past weekend, so Jeff and I got out the buckets, taps and wire ties that Paige had bought us last year...and we set off to make maple syrup once more.

This years efforts were a bit more fruitful than the year before.

And, while we missed having Paige here to help out and generally enjoy staying up all night stoking the fire, she will be receiving a little piece of liquid gold shortly.

A Birth Knight Celebration

You’d have to ask Chuck Harris but I’m thinking turning fifty – ushering in “The Middle Ages” as it were – is a whole lot easier to do when there are wine and wenches involved.
Just sayin’.
And might I add… clip in hair extensions ROCK! Even if it means walking through the mall on a Saturday afternoon looking like Hooker Barbie.

Paige catching up on sleep

Paige has been working crazy hours and needed to catch up on some sleep during our ski break. So, what she didn't mention below on her posting of the trip was that she managed to squeeze in at least 12 hours a night of great sleep after our harrowing days on the slopes. On the left is Paige with her new great ski form...notice legs glued together at the knee and the perfect bend in her knee. And, on the right is Paige the other 18 hours of each day.
