Susan Racanelli & Leslee - Stalking The Wild Manatee
A little background: shortly after moving to Tampa the stars aligned and our family formed fast friendships with the Samahas ,the Glasers and the Smiths. Soon after this, the Racanellis moved to town and fell in with this fast crowd then the Sparks arrived and were helplessly sucked into the vortex. We’ve vacationed together, shared countless meals, oceans of wine, buckets of tears, gales of laughter and seen one another through illness, divorce, jobs and relocations – in short, all of life’s triumphs and tragedies are made better because we can share them with this wild, wonderful, crazy collection of people.
So when it came that our prodigal family, the Racanellis chose to spend spring break in Florida we rose as one to add another page of memories to an already hefty book… A wondrous weekend was spent at the Samaha’s Crystal River house where there was plenty of food, wine, water, manatees, fire, no-see-‘ums, ladder golf, dancing, stone crabs and s’mores but most importantly the love and friendship of 20 years.
